Granite Hill Estates to Conduct Open House and Informational Seminar

Events Will Take Place on Consecutive Days in Late April

HALLOWELL, ME--(Marketwire - Apr 3, 2012) - To help people nearing or at retirement age make better decisions about retirement living, Granite Hill Estates (GHE), the Kennebec Valley's premier continuing care retirement community, will conduct two special events this month.

On Thursday, April 26th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Granite Hill will conduct an Open House, opening its doors and its entire campus to show how beautiful, comfortable, and affordable retirement living should be.

Selling Up in a Down Market: On Friday, April 27th, at 11:30 a.m., Granite Hill will conduct an informational seminar -- "Selling Up in a Down Market" -- in its Maine Lodge Dining Room. Representatives from Sprague & Curtis Real Estate, Kennebec Savings Bank, Allen's Transfer and Storage Inc., and Friday's Girl will be on hand to tell attendees how to sell well in a buyer's market. A light buffet luncheon will be served.

Admission for both events is free and open to the public.

"Economic circumstances like the ones we're experiencing now are opportunities for resourcefulness and creativity," said Kathy Jorgensen, GHE's Executive Director. "All things considered, we might not expect as many people to be moving here as we actually have. But they're finding ways to maximize the value and curb appeal of the homes they're selling. We're happy to be able to conduct these events -- to help people make the most of their opportunities, and to share the beauty and benefits of our community."

To get to Granite Hill Estates, take exit 109 from the south or 109B from the north off I-95 (Winthrop). Head west on Route 202. Take a left onto Edison Drive. GHE is on the right.
