MIRAMAR, FL--(Marketwire - Aug 14, 2012) - Granite Transformations, a remodeling services franchise with facilities and showrooms worldwide, has realigned its operating structure to sharpen its focus on product distribution and franchisee support. Additionally, in recognition of his growing strategic role, Carl Griffenkranz has been appointed to vice president of marketing and franchise support. With this shift, Granite Transformations has hired Carmine DeChiara and Porter Fischer to drive marketing strategy and franchise support and is actively seeking additional talent to support its growing franchise support center.
With previous distribution facilities located in multiple cities including Sebring, Fla., Riverside, Calif., Dallas, TX and Oakville, Canada, Granite Transformations has strategically consolidated all distribution to facilities in Dallas, TX. This move will better serve the needs of its franchisees across North America. With plans to expand in Mexico and Brazil, the centralized Dallas location also poises the franchise for continued success and it expands its international footprint.
"Reorganizing can be challenging, but in the end, we know these changes will improve our distribution process and increase franchisee satisfaction," explains Mark Johnson, CEO of Granite Transformations. The anticipated franchise growth led to advancements at the company's manufacturing facility in Sebring, Fla. The addition of a second production line allows for more innovative product development and additional production capacity to support exponential growth.
As a direct result of the second line, Granite Transformations will introduce its Terra collection this August. It will undergo market testing in select franchised showrooms across North America. The new product will consist of pre-consumer recycled porcelain material, a first for the company traditionally known for its granite and recycled glass products.
The distribution changes also bring the addition of a new corporate training facility in Dallas, further expanding Granite Transformations' franchise support offerings. Included in its expansion strategy are plans to hire a director of training and three additional franchise advisory support team members. Granite Transformations has promoted Carl Griffenkranz to vice president of marketing and franchise support. Griffenkranz joined the Granite Transformations family nearly five years ago and brings more than 10 years of franchise experience.
In order to meet the growing demands of the company, Granite Transformations has also hired Carmine DeChiara as its new marketing director and Porter Fischer as a field support representative. These newly created roles will support corporate and franchisee marketing and franchise support efforts throughout North America.
In his new role at Granite Transformations, DeChiara will be responsible for the development and implementation of Granite Transformations' brand and communication strategy, including the development of marketing collateral, local marketing support for franchisees, website development, public relations and social media strategies and trade show involvement. Fischer is tasked with supporting, guiding and assisting franchisee locations in all areas, including finance, marketing, sales, operations and profitability.
