Major MRSA Detection Programme Gets Go-Ahead

AntNano Plc ("AntNano", or "the Company"), the specialist developer of highly-advanced equipment for
detecting biochemicals and chemicals with applications in the industrial hygiene, medical and homeland
security sectors, announces that it has received funding for its major MRSA detection programme.

A joint application from AntNano's Singapore subsidiary, AntNano Singapore Pte Ltd ("AntNano Singapore"),
and Nanyang Technological University ("NTU") in Singapore, has resulted in the award of a S$200,000
(GBP79,000) Grant by the Economic Development Board ("EDB") of Singapore. The monies will fund a research and
development and commercial programme focussed on using AntNano's existing equipment to provide medical
establishments with cost-effective, real-time early warning systems for detecting important bacteria and
viruses such as strains of the Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus ("MRSA"). It is intended that a
miniaturised version of the company's real time air analyser will be produced which in addition to
detecting microbes could have applications for measuring biomarkers in breath to detect a wide range of
disease conditions.

AntNano Singapore and NTU already has a S$2,000,000 research and development collaboration agreement EDB
which has seen the establishment of its new research and development facility in Singapore.

Dr Allan Syms, Chief Executive Officer, said:
"I am very pleased with the award of this grant, as not only does it mean that we will begin to develop our
existing machines to detect super bugs such as MRSA, but it shows how well the collaboration with NTU in
Singapore is working."

AntNano is based in Sedgefield, U.K., and Singapore.
