Grantium Launches Recovery Act Grants Funds Management System

A comprehensive system with CGI to assist federal, state and municipal and agencies with the rapid disbursement of Recovery Act funding while ensuring accountability, transparency and compliance with OMB Recovery Act requirements.

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA AND OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 25, 2009) - Federal, state and municipal agencies are under the gun to get American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grants and funding out the door to stimulate the economy. Many agencies are challenged to respond quickly with current systems given the specific ARRA mandates for increased transparency and accountability. State and local governments will also face increased scrutiny as grantees to manage and report their use of ARRA funds efficiently.

"Government agencies at all levels face extraordinary pressure to distribute stimulus funds to help get the economy back on track. CGI's solutions can help by providing a rapid start up while meeting ARRA requirements," said George Schindler, President, CGI Federal. "There is a very real need to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of the funds being distributed..." added Caroline Rapking, Vice President, CGI State and Local Industry Group.

To enable federal, state and local agencies meet the ARRA requirements, Grantium, a world-leading enterprise grants management software solution provider, has partnered with CGI Group Inc., to offer Grantium's G3(tm) Grants Recovery Act Management System (GRAMS). With ARRA compliance requirements built in, GRAMS allows agencies to rapidly automate their grant processing. The G3(tm) GRAMS solution also offers agencies the option to either process applications through Grants.gov, or through the G3™ Front Office Applicant Portal.

To get agencies up and running quickly, GRAMS is offered as a hosted application at CGI's Federal Shared Service Center in Phoenix, AZ, which is fully compliant with federal financial management shared services and security standards.

"The combination of Grantium's proven grants management software and CGI's exceptional capability and experience in delivering comprehensive financial management systems and fully managed and hosted solutions will enable federal, state and local agencies to respond immediately and ensure their ARRA funds are disbursed rapidly and efficiently while maintaining the highest possible standards for accountability and transparency" said Peter Andrews, CEO of Grantium Inc.
