GRC Leader QUMAS Concludes Highly Successful 2008 Connect User Conference

JERSEY CITY, NJ--(Marketwire - March 4, 2008) - QUMAS, the leader in Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions, today announced the successful close of its Connect User Conference, held February 25-27, in Miami, Florida. The conference brought together quality assurance and content managers, power users, IT professionals, directors and vice presidents of global compliance, and vice presidents of risk, to exchange new ideas and best practices on optimizing and extending QUMAS solutions. Attendance at this year's event increased 15% in comparison to the 2007 conference.

QUMAS CEO Kevin O'Leary kicked off the conference emphasizing the substantial commitment QUMAS is making to new product development and working with partners that offer complementary solutions.

The first day of the conference featured presentations by Michael Rasmussen, president of Corporate Integrity, LLC, Chris McClean, an analyst at Forrester Research, and Barbro Westin, a director at CanReg. Topics included Managing Risk in the Lifecycles of Business, Corporate Social Responsibility and Pharmacovigilance. Additionally a number of customers presented case studies including Actavis, Boehringer Ingelheim, CanReg, Millennium Pharmaceuticals and OSI Pharmaceuticals.

The second day was dedicated to providing technical and educational workshop sessions enabling attendees to explore new technologies and applications of QUMAS as well as provide input into QUMAS future product direction. Workshops were led by QUMAS subject matter experts.

The conference also highlighted the progress of the newly formed QUCOMM User Group.

"Last year's conference in Las Vegas helped launched the formation of the QUCOMM Steering Committee, the guiding body for the QUMAS user community," said Dr. Joerg Stueben, business project manager at Boehringer Ingelheim and chair of the QUCOMM Steering Committee. "At this year's conference we're delighted to formalize the QUCOMM User Group. Many users have deployments in multiple countries and we believe the group will offer our users the opportunity to transfer knowledge and best practices relating to particular geographic areas, as well as to innovative applications of QUMAS technology."

An integral part of this year's conference was a Partner Pavilion where QUMAS partners could showcase their solutions and services to customers. Partners in attendance included Adlib Software, EXTEDO, Focused Consulting, Lorenz Life Sciences Group, PleaseTech and Valiance Partners.

"The QUMAS User Conference creates an interactive forum for information and best practices exchange between QUMAS, its customers and strategic partners," stated Kevin O'Leary, CEO at QUMAS. "Because of the open and informative nature of the sessions, everyone returns from the conference with new ideas, techniques, and initiatives."
