Investments Plentiful at Sunday River Resort and Great Brook Preserve

NEWRY, ME--(Marketwire - September 22, 2008) - Usually in a down economy capital investment drops off. That has not been the case this year in the Sunday River / Bethel, Maine area as Sunday River Resort and Great Brook Preserve, a premier gated community, has announced a large investment into their respective properties.

Sunday River Resort has invested $14 million into the resort this year with the marquis element as the new Chondola lift being installed on the mountain to provide skier and rider access from the South Ridge base area directly to the Peak Lodge. Related to the Chondola is the addition of 12-hour skiing for this winter as the resort will light trails on the North Peak and South Ridge.

The $14 million investment in 2008 is on the heels of $5 million invested into Sunday River Resort in 2007 that enhanced the snowmaking and ski school capabilities at the renowned resort.

Great Brook Preserve, noted as one of the fastest selling communities in the Sunday River Valley continues to build on their reputation for premium quality by announcing the launch of the "Vistas at Great Brook Preserve" and the construction of paved roads and underground utilities for close to one mile of additional roads. Furthermore, Great Brook Preserve is investing significantly in the entrance way of the community.
