Great Race Sports to Partner With Canadian Media Company in 2008

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 21, 2007) - Gross Point Media, based in Ottawa, Canada has purchased the Canadian rights for next summer's Great Race from New York to Paris. The agreement gives Gross Point Media the promotional and merchandising rights to a minimum of least 12 live events involving the around the world Great Race, traveling across North America, Asia and Europe next June - July.

Next summer, Great Race Sports commemorates the 100th anniversary of one of the most remarkable automotive adventures of the 20th century - a race almost around the world in 1908, from New York to Paris. In a re-run of that milestone event, an international field of more than 30 motor vehicles will depart New York on May 30, 2008, and finish in Paris, France on August 2, 2008.

"It was an easy decision to once again partner with Bill Ewing and his team for the Great Race 2008, New York to Paris historical event" said Al Jones, President, Gross Point Media. "Their professionalism and commitment to providing quality entertainment for both race participants and car enthusiasts is what inspired us to team up with Great Race Sports."

Some of the participants will be traveling in automobiles powered by renewable fuel; others will be driving classic cars in celebration of the rugged spirit of freedom and adventure displayed in the milestone race a century ago. An additional 60 teams, driving classic cars will join the Great Race field for the 6,932 kilometer (4,300 mile) trip across Canada.

The route for The Great Race 2008: New York to Paris will first travel north through New York State and into Canada with an initial stopover in Toronto. The drive continues north east to Ottawa the nation's capital, Greater Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Canmore, Kelowna to finish in Vancouver, British Columbia.

"The Great Race 2008 event is a very important event for us, we looked no further than Gross Point Media due to a relationship that goes back more than twelve years to the 1995 Ottawa to Mexico City Great Race," said Bill Ewing, chief executive officer for Great Race. "Al Jones and his team developed a very successful promotional program in 1995 and have strengthened their portfolio of sponsors and partners since, so I'm sure next summer's race through Canada is in good hands. Al brings a creative approach to live events, so we are excited about Gross Point Media's involvement."

Gross Point Media will help secure media partners, event sponsors, coordinate events in each market and support merchandising during the two weeks the Great Race travels through scenic Canada.
