PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Jul 10, 2013) - The Green Building Initiative™ (GBI) announced today that it has made six new appointments to its Board of Directors. "I am very pleased to welcome these new members to our Board at what is a very exciting and shaping time for the organization," says GBI Chairman Ray Tonjes. "It is critical that at the same time we are rolling out updated products like the Green Globes for New Construction and Green Globes for Existing Building programs that we draw upon the expertise of our Board who are building owners, designers, marketers, manufacturers of green products or who represent companies that are expert users of the Green Globes tools. With an exceptionally strong management team and a diverse Board with a wealth of industry expertise, I am confident that the GBI is aligned to help the ever-evolving sustainable marketplace respond to an era of change."
