Green candidate Nick Boileau nominated in Whitby-Ajax by-election

Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, Environment Editor, News Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor WHITBY, ON/PRESS RELEASE--(CCNMatthews - March 8, 2006) - Whitby resident Nick Boileau has been nominated by the Green Party of Ontario to run in the 2006 Whitby-Ajax provincial by-election to be held on March 30, 2006. A third year Criminology student at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Boileau at age 22 is an enthusiastic advocate of the Green Party's policies and proactive approach.

"I feel strongly that our community should offer comprehensive services and alternatives so that all citizens can work, live safely and be taken care of effectively close to home," said Boileau.

An accomplished speaker and student ambassador, Nick has a special interest in human rights and social justice. Nick is fully bilingual in French and English and believes strongly that our French heritage should be preserved and celebrated.

Nick is employed part time during the school year for a local security company. He is a long time history buff, sports enthusiast and is active in a local amateur theatre group.

Nick is passionate about his Green Party candidacy and is determined to make a positive difference for the good of his community.
