Green Deal Guide Launches for Information on the Government's Revolutionary Green Incentive

LEICESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - June 16, 2011) - Green Deal Guide, a website which explains everything there is to know about the Government's flagship Green Deal, has recently been launched. Green Deal Guide also features relevant Green Deal news and aims to keep the public informed as the Green Deal goes through legislation prior to coming into effect in autumn 2012.

The Green Deal has been designed to revolutionise the energy efficiency of properties throughout the UK, and Green Deal Guide has been established to highlight the benefits of the scheme, which offers households and businesses the chance to improve the energy efficiency of their properties.

Customers will be able to choose from more than 20 different technologies, which will include cavity wall insulation, draught-proofing and, potentially, could also cover the costs of renewable technologies, such as solar water heating, wood-burning stoves and biomass boilers. Under the scheme, households and businesses will be able to take out loans to have their properties made more energy efficient.

Key benefits of the Green Deal:

  • It enables the consumer to implement energy saving measures

  • Consumers will save money on their fuel bills

  • It allows consumers to undertake energy efficient home improvements under the scheme

  • It revolutionises energy efficiency to UK homes

  • Features no up-front costs

  • Consumers will pay back the loan over the course of 25 years through additional charges to their energy bills. The savings on bills will overcome the additional cost

The Green Deal Guide has been created to provide a one-stop source when it comes to Green Deal news and information.

David Holmes, founder of Green Deal Guide says: "The Green Deal will make it possible for homeowners and businesses to have energy efficient measures carried out, such as cavity wall insulation and double glazing, to make their property much more energy efficient.

"The Green Deal is being heralded as the biggest shake up in the history of energy efficiency, and Green Deal Guide aims to keep the public in the loop, whilst highlighting the need for existing homes and offices to become a lot more energy efficient."
