Holistic Security Analysis ( FTF-DES-N2061)
When: Tuesday, May 16, 2:30 PM, 1 hour
Where: Griffin Hall 4 - Level 2
Who: Joe Fabbre, Director of Platform Solutions

From supply chain to development to deployment, security and safety are essential to developing connected embedded devices. This talk provides a broad survey of the lifecycle of device development and examines security aspects at each step of the way. Included is the importance of a zero-exposure security infrastructure to manufacture secure devices in today's complex supply chains. Also addressed will be techniques for architecting secure systems with a focus on software components and separation.

Debugging Virtualized Systems ( FTF-DES-N2071)
When: Wednesday, May 17, 11:00 AM, 1 hour
Where: Griffin Hall 4 - Level 2
Who: Joe Fabbre, Director of Platform Solutions

Virtualization has many benefits for embedded system designers, but it is not without its challenges. Developers are discovering limitations in the tools utilized for debugging these systems. This session will highlight the challenges associated with debugging virtualized systems and provide a live demonstration of techniques that can be used to address these challenges.

Green Hills will offer the following demonstrations on four different workstations in the Tech Lab:

KIOSK #1 - End-to-End Security and OTA Updates
Demonstrating the most comprehensive infrastructure for provisioning digital trust assets into your devices across distributed supply chains, this demo shows multi-product root key management and software to prevent hacking and unauthorized modification of software. Digital signatures are verified during startup and dynamically updated using firmware over-the-air (FOTA).

KIOSK #2 - Safely & Securely Consolidate Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
Green Hills demonstrates INTEGRITY® Multivisor™ virtualization technology safely & securely consolidating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto infotainment systems with a safety-critical instrument cluster, running concurrently with GPU-accelerated graphics (OpenGL and OpenVG) on an i.MX 6 SABRE Automotive Infotainment board.

KIOSK #3 - Professional MULTI® Debugger for Linux
This demonstration shows how developers in the embedded Linux world can dramatically improve debugging productivity by using the powerful MULTI® IDE and Green Hills Probe for source-level debugging of the Linux kernel, boot loaders, applications and device drivers. Flexible modes of debugging include JTAG stop-mode debugging and run-mode debugging.

KIOSK #4 - High Performance Embedded Graphics for i.MX 6
Widespread support for the INTEGRITY RTOS from the industry's leading graphics suppliers gives designers a rich selection of choices when creating next-generation automotive, medical, IoT, industrial and avionics systems on the industry's leading embedded processors. The combination of a high performance OpenGL and OpenVG stacks with the safe, secure and real-time INTEGRITY separation kernel allows creation of robust GUI-based devices.
