Green Jobs Network Acquires Green Job Spider

Solidifies Position as a Leading Free Resource for Job Seekers

BERKELEY, CA--(Marketwire - February 8, 2011) - Green Jobs Network (http://www.GreenJobs.net), a leading resource for people seeking jobs that focus on environmental or social responsibility, today announced it has acquired Green Job Spider, the Green Job Search Engine. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Green Job Spider enables job seekers to search thousands of green jobs from multiple job boards and other sources in a single search. Green Job Spider has websites that serve the United States (http://www.GreenJobSpider.com) and Canada (http://www.GreenJobSpider.ca).

"Green Job Spider is a great fit for Green Jobs Network," said Leonard Adler, founder and CEO of Green Jobs Network. "It is a free service for job seekers, respected in the industry, and makes it easier to locate available jobs."

Green Job Spider has been online since early 2010 and was developed by Chris Russell, a veteran of the job board industry. It has received favorable reviews and will be recognized as one of the top 100 employment websites in WEDDLE's 2011/12 Guide to Employment Sites on the Internet.

Green Jobs Network was founded in 2009 by Leonard Adler, a social entrepreneur and internet industry veteran. Green Jobs Network's services include a nationwide green job board and Green Collar Blog (http://www.GreenCollarBlog.org), which provides free information for job seekers including job search tips and a green career events calendar. Green Jobs Network helps job seekers expand their professional network through the Green Jobs & Career Network (http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=77194) -- the #1 group on LinkedIn exclusively focused on the green job community, with nearly 25,000 members worldwide.

Green Jobs Network also organizes job fairs and career programs. It will be holding a Green Jobs & Entrepreneurship Fair in the San Francisco Bay Area on February 16, 2011, that is expected to draw more than 300 attendees and 25 exhibitors (see separate release at http://www.GreenOpportunitiesFair.com/press-release.html).
