Greenhouse Announces 75th Live Partnership and Latest Software Release to Improve Diversity Hiring

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Mar 22, 2016) - Greenhouse Software, the leading recruiting and onboarding platform, today announced details of its Winter '16 product release. With this latest product update, the company introduces new features to eliminate hiring biases as well as new mobile capabilities for on-the-go interviewers and hiring managers. Greenhouse's latest release also includes an integration with Slack -- its 75th partner integration -- as well as several product upgrades and additional integrations to enhance how employers find, attract and hire diverse talent and make recruiting their biggest competitive advantage.

"Building and encouraging a diverse workforce is important to us and to our customers for many reasons. Not only is it the right thing to do, but diverse companies perform better, convey a recruiting and retention advantage and create a respectful work environment in line with their values," said Daniel Chait, CEO of Greenhouse. "Our goal is to transform how companies engage diverse talent and benefit from the unique skills of individuals with various backgrounds. Greenhouse makes this easier than ever, enabling companies to conduct all sourcing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding activities on a single platform and build highly qualified, diverse teams much faster."

Enhanced Functionality

To make the best hiring decisions, it is crucial to focus on the skills a candidate can bring to the organization and not on the personal details that can unintentionally influence hiring decisions. Yet, a candidate's very name can reveal their gender or ethnicity and lead to unconscious bias. With Greenhouse's Winter '16 product release, the company introduces new developments to help organizations remove bias in their hiring processes. Among the highlights is Blind Testing, which enables employers to grade candidate skills tests without knowing the candidate's name or personal details, removing gender and ethnicity bias, and allowing for objective candidate feedback. In addition, Greenhouse includes race and gender data collection and additional features to support EEO/OFCCP compliance.

Other new enhancements to the Greenhouse platform include:

  • Job Dashboard: Greenhouse enables recruiters to gauge the health of their pipeline and allows users to keep the best candidates top of mind on the Greenhouse Dashboard.
  • Greenhouse Mobile: Greenhouse helps recruiters prepare for interviews on the go, enabling access to candidate information and the ability to provide interview feedback from anywhere.
  • Milestone Reporting: This new feature automatically layers in a standard reporting on top of every job pipeline for each stage of the recruiting process, delivering meaningful, actionable pipeline metrics across all jobs, no matter how different their structures may be.

New Product Integrations

Accompanying its product enhancements, Greenhouse further supports objective hiring practices through numerous strategic integrations. The company recently welcomed Slack, a team communication platform, as its 75th partner integration. With the addition of Slack, Greenhouse users benefit from the company's advanced messaging and alerts solution. As a result, recruiters and hiring managers can keep all of their recruiting information in one place within the Greenhouse platform, facilitating how teams collaborate throughout the hiring process.

The company's platform also integrates with five leading providers of solutions to remove recruiting bias and improve diversity, including: Buzz Technologies, Entelo, Plum.io, Pymetrics and Savvy.

Supporting Data-Empowered Hiring Decisions

The Greenhouse recruiting platform helps organizations make more objective hiring decisions through an effective use of data. The data and insights available from Greenhouse empower users to build more diverse teams and to counter unconscious biases that undercut inclusive hiring strategies.

"At Paradigm, we encourage our clients to collect data as the first step in designing an effective and inclusive hiring strategy," said Joelle Emerson, founder, Paradigm Consulting. "Without data, companies simply can't figure out where their hiring process might be breaking down or how to improve it."

With the Winter '16 product release, Greenhouse continues to design tools that support the people who are building great companies -- by helping them hire faster and create better, more diverse teams.
