GreenMan Technologies' Subsidiary to Provide ADA Compliance Services to the California Association of School Boards

New Partnership Amends and Extends Business Development Agreement to January 2016

CARLISLE, IA--(Marketwire - December 1, 2010) - GreenMan Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: GMTI) today announced that its subsidiary, GreenTech Products, Inc., through its sales and marketing agreement with Disability Access Consultants, Inc. ("DAC"), has entered into a partnership with the California School Boards Association ("CSBA") to offer Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") compliance services to the more than 1,000 school districts in the state. GreenTech Products currently provides unique playground safety products to CSBA member school districts and through this agreement, will now offer DAC's consulting services and "DACTrak," a web based inspection software and data management system that will allow the California school districts to effectively evaluate their ADA compliance and plan solutions.

Tim Mahoney, President of Green Tech Products, commented, "We are excited to partner with DAC and the CSBA for this necessary and timely program. The U.S. Department of Justice has recently signed revised ADA regulations and design standards that have led to an increased focus on ADA compliance in school districts across the country. We look forward to our continued partnership with California schools and to assisting their ADA self-evaluations and the development of transition plans to bring programs and facilities into compliance without outside mandates. DacTrak is a revolutionary ADA compliance software platform that we believe will greatly enhance the ability of California School Districts in preparing their required compliance to the new regulations."

Disability Access Consultants, Inc. is a nationwide leader in providing accessibility compliance software products, consulting services and expertise to ensure their clients are in compliance with the federally mandated ADA and related federal, state and local codes. "DACTrak" simplifies, expedites and enhances the transition plan process for compliance with ADA and state accessibility regulations using a handheld computer tablet. Following the inspection of a facility, data is uploaded via a secure internet connection to DAC's servers for processing and selecting the applicable state and federal codes. Within minutes a detailed assessment report is available for review. In contrast, a majority of ADA compliance inspections today take a considerable amount of time to complete; transition plan reports tend to be lengthy paper documents that must be updated manually and are typically difficult to use and understand.

Barbara Thorpe, President of DAC, stated, "We have a quality track record of providing ADA compliance solutions for the largest and smallest school districts in California. The State of California has been one of the nation's leaders in ADA policy efforts and enforcement and with the recent ADA legislation, the need for DAC's services have never been greater. We look forward to the expansion of our compliance efforts and continued support of our education clients."

The CSBA's ADA compliance program will be officially launched at CSBA's Annual Education Conference, December 2-4, 2010 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco,

About GreenMan Technologies
GreenMan Technologies, through its subsidiaries, provides technological processes and unique marketing programs for alternative energy, renewable fuels and innovative recycled products. The Company's alternative energy subsidiaries, American Power Group, Inc. (APG) and APG International, Inc. (APGI) provide a cost-effective patented dual fuel technology for diesel engines. APG's dual fuel alternative energy system is a unique external fuel delivery enhancement system that converts existing diesel engines into more efficient and environmentally friendly engines that have the flexibility to run on: 1) diesel fuel and compressed natural gas ("CNG"); 2) diesel fuel and bio-methane, or 3) 100% diesel fuel depending on the circumstances. The proprietary technology seamlessly displaces up to 65% of the normal diesel fuel consumption with CNG or bio-methane and the energized fuel balance between the two fuels is maintained with a patented control system ensuring the engines operate to Original Equipment Manufacturers' ("OEM") specified temperatures and pressures with no loss of horsepower. Installation requires no engine modification unlike the more expensive high-pressure alternative fuel systems in the market. Our Green Tech Products, Inc. subsidiary develops and markets branded products and services that provide schools and other political subdivisions viable solutions for safety, compliance, and accessibility including recycled surfacing.
