Greenville County Tax Assessor Purchases Address Verification to Improve Operations

South Carolina County Implementing Experian QAS Software to Reduce Returned Mail and Improve Data Entry

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2012) - Experian® QAS®, a part of Experian Marketing Services and a leading provider of address verification software and services, today announced that the Greenville County Tax Assessor has purchased QAS Pro to validate address information as it is entered from deed transfers. The agency expects the address verification software to reduce costs associated with returned mail and improve staff efficiency.

"We have 202,000 pieces of property in the county, and we process 300 to 400 deeds each week," said Debbie Adkins, assessor at Greenville County Tax Assessor. "Manually entering those addresses is a time-consuming process prone to human error. We need to improve the accuracy of that information so we can reduce our returned mail and ensure tax bills reach constituents."

QAS Pro reduces the amount of time needed to enter an address while ensuring the accuracy of information. This enables the county to reduce data entry time while correcting missing or incorrect information on deed transfers.
