GreenVolts Continues Momentum With Addition of Technology and Solar Power Veterans

Leader in Concentrator Photovoltaic Technology Rounds Out Management Team With Experienced Development, Manufacturing and Project Operations Executives


SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 4, 2007) - GreenVolts (www.greenvolts.com), a leader in high concentration photovoltaic technology and wholesale distributed energy, today introduced Joseph "Chip" Krauskopf as the company's Chief Operating Officer and Stephen Smith as its Director of Project Operations.

Mr. Krauskopf joins GreenVolts after 23 years at Intel Corporation. He brings extensive business management expertise, a product development discipline and experience in high volume manufacturing to his position at GreenVolts.

Mr. Smith is a solar power veteran having spent time at both PowerLight and SolFocus, and will be tasked with developing and managing project deployments for GreenVolts.

Prior to GreenVolts, Mr. Krauskopf spent 23 years at Intel where he held numerous senior leadership roles covering all phases of semiconductor product development. During his tenure at Intel, he built and managed teams worldwide, while creating as well as supporting numerous product families. Most recently, Chip drove pre- and post-sales technical support that grew annual revenue for Intel's embedded and communications processors to $1.2 billion. Mr. Krauskopf holds a BS in computer engineering and an MS in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He has also received six U.S. patents related to design methodology for various semiconductor products.

Mr. Smith comes to GreenVolts after deploying more than 20 MW of turnkey photovoltaic solutions on behalf of clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to various state and municipal government facilities. He spent seven years managing projects at PowerLight Corporation, and most recently was Director of Field Operations at SolFocus where he led their ISFOC project deployment. Mr. Smith has a degree with a focus on renewable technology from California State University Humboldt and an Advanced Photovoltaics Certificate from Solar Energy International.
