GreenWave Reality Cooperates With Danfoss to Deliver Innovative, Connected Thermostat Solutions

Extends Home Energy Management Service to Include Smart Thermostats

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK--(Marketwire - Oct 4, 2011) - GreenWave Reality, a global innovator in the Smart Home Services market which includes Energy Management, Connected Lighting, and Home Monitoring services, announced today they have started a cooperation with Danfoss to extend their innovative Home Energy Management platform to support Danfoss Smart Thermostats. Danfoss is a leading manufacturer of controls for air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and motion systems. This collaboration gives consumers the ability to control the temperature of their homes by way of GreenWave Reality's industry-leading interfaces running on PCs, tablets and smartphones.

In addition to monitoring and controlling the energy consumption of all electrical devices and connected lighting in the home, consumers can now use the GreenWave Reality solution to control the thermostats in the home to extend these energy savings to heating, the single largest energy consumer of most homes. The GreenWave Reality Energy Management Platform communicates with Danfoss smart thermostats using industry-standard Z-Wave® communications protocol. GreenWave Reality's adherence to industry standards allows for a high level of interoperability with other devices and extensibility of the GreenWave Reality platform to include new solutions such as controlling the Danfoss Smart thermostats.
