Grenville Gold Hires MINERA TULIN S.A.C for Environmental Impact Study & Class "C" Drill Permit on Silveria

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 2, 2007 -- Grenville Gold Corporation ("Grenville" or "the Company") (TSX-V: GVG) (PINKSHEETS: GVLGF) is pleased to announce MINERA TULIN S.A.C has been hired to complete an Environmental Impact Study for the Silveria Project. The environmental impact study is required for Grenville to apply for a Class "C" drilling permit for Silveria.

Significant opportunity exists to identify, verify and expand a historical resource based on previously announced digitization and 3D modeling. Currently, Grenville is also working on considering proposals for topographical mapping of the entire Silveria land package. With additional information from mapping, sampling and drilling, Grenville will work towards identifying a resource on the property.

Grenville has also compiled historical information which includes previously published production data, mine plans and maps. Once historical information has been compiled and verified, Grenville will release the information with the appropriate caveats. At present, a resource has not been verified by a National Instrument 43-101 qualified person.

Grenville plans to carry out a drilling program on the 1662 Ha currently staked on the Silveria property which includes the past-producing Millotingo, Pacococha, Silveria and Germania Mines. The results of all the above will provide input for an NI 43-101-compliant technical report and the basis for a feasibility study.

"Grenville continues on course to develop the Silveria Project," stated A. Paul Gill, President & CEO. "Managing and pacing the company's corporate growth is essential to Grenville's future success."

In addition, Grenville is pleased to report it has received the first draft of the Rosa Maria/Espanola 43-101 Report. Additional information will be released as soon as possible.
