Grenville Gold Posts Espanola 43-101, Updates Shareholders

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 23, 2007 -- Grenville Gold Corporation ("Grenville" or "the Company") (TSX-V: GVG) (OTCBB: GVLGF) is pleased to announce that it has now filed the NI 43-101 report by Luc Pigeon, P.Eng. on Sedar (www.sedar.com).

Grenville has received initial assay results from the Espanola sampling program and will report on the results as soon as possible. At present, Grenville is open to accepting proposals for the continued exploration and/or development of this project before making further decisions on the project.

Further, in regards to the Silveria Project, Mr. Len De Melt will be attending meetings in Peru with Solway and reviewing progress on the scoping study, 3-D modeling, topographical mapping, tailings assessments, community meetings and review further potential acquisitions.

As stated in a previous news release on the subject, there are no assurances that Solway will make any investments in or commitments to Grenville or that the meetings with result in any sort of relationship.
