Group Logic Signs Former Industry Analyst and CA Executive Anders Lofgren as Vice President, Product Management

Lofgren Brings Broad Mid-Market Expertise and Extensive Experience Guiding Product and Market Strategy for Technology Leaders and Global 2000 Companies

ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwire - September 9, 2010) -  Group Logic (GLI), a leading provider of digital content-driven solutions for collaboration in the enterprise and the cloud, announced today it hired Anders Lofgren as Vice President, Product Management. Anders will play a key role in architecting Group Logic's product strategy to capture the growing market demand for offerings that improve the ways workers share digital assets.

"Anders' experience setting strategy for leader companies and a career-long focus on digital infrastructure makes him an excellent fit for Group Logic and the market opportunities we are seeing today," said Chris Broderick, CEO of Group Logic. "We are very pleased to add an industry veteran with the kind of depth of experience and breadth of relationships that he brings to our team."

Lofgren joins Group Logic after several years as the chief research officer for The InfoPro, an advisory and research firm for IT professionals, vendors and institutional investors. There, he led all research initiatives as well as spurring the company's initial forays into cloud computing. Prior to his tenure at The InfoPro, Lofgren directed product and business strategy at Computer Associates (CA) for its mid-market and storage business unit, after managing storage and information management product lines and guiding the unit through related strategic acquisitions. Lofgren also spent several years working as an industry research analyst for leading firms such as Forrester Research and Giga Information Group, often quoted in major technology trade and business publications on the subject of storage hardware and storage management.

"Throughout my career, I've seen that good infrastructure and good business process are inextricably linked, and I'm proud to be joining a company whose technology addresses both," said Lofgren. "Leader companies are recognizing that better collaboration solutions are key to unleashing the value of their digital content investments, making this an especially exciting time to join Group Logic."

In addition to his leadership roles at top industry research firms and at CA, Lofgren served as strategic marketing manager for Compaq Computer Corporation and directed marketing for Zetari, Inc. Lofgren earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Lehigh University.
