GSN Digital Invites Gamers to Play to Defeat Breast Cancer

Total GSN Donations to Support Breast Cancer Research and Prevention Near $1 Million

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Oct 9, 2012) - It's estimated that 226,870 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone, and in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, GSN Digital is proud to continue its partnership with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) to raise much-needed funds to support breast cancer research. During the month of October, players can participate by playing casual games on GSN.com or competing in GSN's cash competitions to raise money for BCRF. Since 2004, GSN Digital has raised over $900,000 that has been distributed to breast cancer charities, and is hoping to push that cumulative total to $1 million this year.

WHAT: Since 2007, GSN Digital and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation have teamed up to give game lovers a fun way to raise money to help find a cure for breast cancer. GSN Digital offers two ways to get involved. Visitors to GSN.com can answer trivia questions and play casual games like BINGO Blitz, Lingo and Mahjongg Dimensions for Oodles, GSN's virtual currency redeemable for gift cards and prizes. Through GSN's Oodles for Breast Cancer Awareness program, players can redeem their Oodles for donations of $5 and $10 to BCRF. Additionally, players who prefer to compete for cash can raise money for BCRF through GSN's Play to Defeat Breast Cancer program. Players enter online tournaments in games including Wheel of Fortune, SCRABBLE® Cubes and Bejeweled® 2, from which 10 percent of the entry fee goes to BCRF.
