GT Nexus Named World's Best Supply Chain Finance Provider in Three Categories

Global Finance Magazine Recognizes GT Nexus's Platform for Its Ability to Deliver Trading Partner Connectivity, Rapid Customer Implementation, and Robust Inventory Management

OAKLAND, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 11, 2013) - GT Nexus has been chosen by Global Finance magazine as winner of the World's Best Supply Chain Finance Providers 2013 award for three categories:

  • Best Platform Connecting Buyers, Suppliers and Financial Institutions
  • Best Customer Implementation of Supply Chain Financing Solution (with IFC, part of World Bank)
  • Best Inventory Management

"The Best Supply Chain Finance Providers are those that provide cost savings, working capital benefits and help ensure the security and stability of multinational supply chains," said Joseph Giarraputo, publisher and editorial director of Global Finance.

In April of 2013, TradeCard and GT Nexus merged to deliver the first true end-to-end supply chain platform to address the physical and financial sides of the supply chain for 25,000 companies residing on their combined network.

"Organizations that deploy a cloud-based supply network maintain a clear advantage above those who operate hard-wired supply chains that still reply on ERP, EDI and portals," said Sean Feeney, CEO of GT Nexus. "When financial services providers like IFC connect with trading partners in the cloud, all parties have visibility into the movement of capital, data and goods. Financial institutions, retailers, manufacturers, factories, raw material providers, freight forwarders and agents benefit from reduced costs and risk. This allows capital and goods to flow easily, with minimal friction."

Global Finance's editorial team -- with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts -- selected the best providers of supply chain financing and management services. A variety of subjective and objective criteria were used for choosing the winners. Factors considered included: market share and global coverage, product innovation, customer service, technology, execution skills and client-specific implementations.
