GT OmniPort Rail Terminal Completes Construction and Opens for Storage


PORT ARTHUR, TX--(Marketwire - Aug 28, 2012) - GT Logistics, LLC (GTL), announced today that it has completed the first phase of construction of rail lines at its Port Arthur, TX-located GT OmniPort. The GT OmniPort is now open and available for rail car storage and transloading.

The rail terminal has direct access to main line rail served by both the Union Pacific and BNSF railroads and is able to receive unit train traffic with storage track capable of holding up to 250 rail cars. The next phase of rail storage capacity expansion is underway with 300 acres of land dedicated to rail car storage which upon final completion will be able to store, switch and transload over 1,000 rail cars. The rail terminal site also features a multi-barge receiving dock on Taylor's Bayou; convenient access to Highway 73 and Interstate 10; and connectivity to the extensive network of pipelines serving the region.

The rail terminal is part of the GT OmniPort operated by GTL that includes direct rail-served industrial sites ready for immediate development. These sites are suitable for a variety of distribution, warehouse, processing plant and manufacturing uses. GT OmniPort also offers a 20-acre deepwater dock and receiving facility on the Sabine Neches Navigation District Channel with over 900 feet of steel bulkhead improvements and 1,700 feet of waterfront access to the 42-foot-deep Channel.
