Guardian Equity Management and Catalyst Property Solutions Form a Joint Venture

Streamlined Entity Delivers Comprehensive Multifamily Property Management Services and Strengthens Acquisition Position

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - May 17, 2012) - Guardian Equity Management and Catalyst Property Solutions today announced the joint venture of the two Houston-based companies. The move allows Guardian, a multifamily property investment firm, to boost its property management services offering and enhance its investment services program. Catalyst provides nationwide property management and receivership solutions through a network of affiliated property management firms that are specialized in their markets. This offers a one-stop property management partner with local market expertise.

The combined entity operates more than 6,000 units and employs more than 250 associates. The move combines best practices of both companies and delivers nationwide management service with a localized hands-on approach, offering all facets of property management, including facilities, vendor management and staff development. Guardian also manages property acquisitions, reviews proposed development site logistics, oversees property lease-up strategies, supervises property renovations, and positions properties for sale in all property class types.

He serves as the 2012 vice president of the Houston Apartment Association and is the first person to win the Independent Owner of the Year Award at the local, state and national level.

Catalyst offers a nationwide third party property management platform. Forshee is a member of several national and regional professional and civic organizations and serves on the Houston Apartment Association board of directors, the political action and fair housing committees and is a delegate to the National Apartment Association. She has overseen multifamily property operations and development in the United States and Europe.
