Guerrero Adds Expertise, Larry B. Buzan Joins the Advisory Board

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 16, 2011) - Guerrero Exploration Inc. ("Guerrero" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:GEX) is pleased to announce Larry B. Buzan joins its Advisory Board. Mr. Larry B. Buzan is currently President, CEO and Director of Canadian Energy Exploration Inc. Mr. Buzan was previously with Crew Energy Inc., a Canadian mid-size oil & gas firm, managing a land and production portfolio he helped acquire in 2006. Mr. Buzan's career managing both people and mineral resources has spanned both Canadian and American jurisdictions over the past 29 years.

Mr. Buzan has been a member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen since 1985 with a P. Land designation. Mr. Buzan was the recipient of the 2004 CAPL Distinguished Citizen Award. Since Mr. Buzan's start in the oil & gas industry as a landman with Dome Petroleum Ltd. in 1981, he has been a part of oil & gas mineral negotiation and land acquisition activities with number of large and smaller companies operating in Canada, the NorthWest territories, Yukon Territories, the USA Rocky Mountain States, and Alaska.

Mr. Buzan has had extensive experience with aboriginal land dealings both south of the Canadian border and in Canada below the 60-degree parallel and the NorthWest Territories. Of note, Mr. Buzan was a lead-part of a team that secured passing of a bill in the North Dakota State legislature allowing for the removal of State royalties from an aboriginal agreement in North Dakota. Thereafter a federal bill was signed and passed by Congress following Mr. Buzan's lead, permitting the company he was with to change the leasing and signature requirements with the Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs on the same aboriginal North Dakota lands on "allotted" land leases to allow for in-trust payments to be made to the estates of aboriginal title holders in a vastly superior way than had previously been required.

David Stadnyk, President and CEO of Guerrero said, "We are pleased to welcome Mr. Buzan to our Advisory Board. We are extremely pleased with the addition of Mr. Buzan as he brings a wealth of experience to Guerrero in negotiations and resource land acquisitions. Mr. Buzan's expertise strengthens the Company in completing high quality acquisitions."
