Guinness World Record Holder Visits North Bay Sharing Messages of Kindness and Resiliency

NORTH BAY, ON--(Marketwired - February 10, 2016) - Robert "Frisbee Rob" McLeod, a motivational speaker and competitive athlete in frisbee, is in North Bay this week speaking at local schools along with his canine teammate, Davy Whippet. Rob and Davy drove from Calgary, arriving on Monday after spending 33 hours on the road driving through the blizzard in Winnipeg.

Rob holds 6 Guinness World Records (2 of them with Davy), 10 World Championships and has the Canadian Distance Record. Rob competes in 10 different sports and along with sharing his message to kids, he also does frisbee demos to inspire and captivate their imagination.

Rob's presentation includes messages about being unique, embracing differences, dealing with bullying, treating others with kindness, and being resilient. Rob loves teaching kids about what is possible, not only within themselves, but also within others. He spoke at Mapleridge school on Tuesday afternoon and will be speaking at Alliance school Friday morning before heading to the Maritimes, where he grew up.

Rob has also created a children's book, aimed at ages 4-10, which launched last week and sold out within the first 30 minutes. The book, titled The Davy Rule, features Davy Whippet and is filled with full page colourful illustrations and resources for parents & teachers to start conversations with kids to help with character development.
