Guinness World Record Holders Coming to Edina for Family Frisbee Festival

EDINA, MINNEAPOLIS--(Marketwired - June 26, 2015) -

Editors Note: There are three photos and one video associated with this video.

Canadian Rob "Frisbee Rob" McLeod and his canine teammate Davy Whippet will be in Edina June 27-28 for the Minnesota Overall Flying Disc Championships and the Edina Family Frisbee Festival. Both events are hosted by Cool Planet and the Minnesota Frisbee Association - celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, which makes it the oldest Frisbee organization in the world. This is the 7th year for the Family Frisbee Festival.

Rob and Davy hold two Guinness World Records together (Rob has another 4 on his own) and they are best known for being the first team to have a throw and catch over 400 feet. This happened in 2012 when Rob threw a disc 402 feet and Davy caught it, breaking a record that had stood for 18 years. You can see a video of Rob and Davy's record here:

Last year, Rob competed in his first Minnesota Overall Championship and along with briefly breaking the state distance record when he became the first person to throw a disc over 600 feet in Minnesota, he also broke the Minnesota MTA record when he threw a Frisbee into the air and caught it 14.53 seconds later. You can see a video of the Minnesota MTA record here:
