Guitars in the Classroom (GITC) revives music in American classrooms while boosting student engagement and academic performance.

GITC is run by founder and executive director Jessica Baron. Baron's vision for GITC is to transform pre-k through middle school classrooms into vibrant learning environments allowing teachers to integrate music into the curriculum, engage learners, and encourage creativity.

"It is great to have this nonprofit supporting music and education," said founder of the Good Neighbor Program Sam Soares. "I believe music is the key for many learners in the classroom, and getting students involved with music at a crucial stage is critical for educational development."

The inaugural program aims to showcase a worthy nonprofit in the company's publication: Business Review USA.
