GWAVA Selects Exalead CloudView to Provide Search Capabilities for GWAVA Retain E-Mail Archiving Platform

Search Platform Enables Scalable and Cost-Effective E-Discovery for Novell GroupWise Customers

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2009) - Exalead, a global provider of search-based business application (SBA) technology, today announced that GWAVA, Novell's largest collaboration partner, has integrated Exalead CloudView OEM Edition into their Retain E-Mail Archiving Platform to deliver robust search functionality. GWAVA selected Exalead's platform because of its scalability and lower TCO compared to other solutions on the market.

GWAVA provides management and security solutions for Novell GroupWise customers. GWAVA's Retain offers complete and seamless e-mail archiving for e-discovery and business continuity. A key part of Retain's success for GWAVA customers depends upon its ability to provide quick, efficient and accurate access to information, no matter how the e-mail archive grows and evolves over time.

"Robust search capabilities are a critical component for providing e-discovery services to our customers," said Taylor Cochrane, GWAVA's director of product management. "Exalead CloudView OEM allows us to meet and exceed our customers' demands for superior search and indexing performance, no matter how their e-mail archives change in the future."

ISVs and integrators can use CloudView OEM to differentiate their solutions with high-performing and highly scalable embedded search capabilities. Built on an open, modular architecture, CloudView uses minimal hardware but provides high scalability, which helps reduce overall TCO. Additionally, CloudView uses advanced semantic technologies to automatically analyze, categorize, enhance and align data to deliver more accurate, precise and relevant search results.

"We continue to see strong growth in our OEM business as ISV requirements for information access surpass the capabilities of other commercial and open source providers," said Ranjeet Vidwans, vice president of business development at Exalead. "We're delighted to be working with GWAVA to provide the search foundation for the next generation of their e-mail archiving and e-discovery offering."
