Gwinnett Business Radio Features Building Intimate Marriages and Civis Capital

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - January 23, 2015) - On December 4th, 2014, Gwinnett Business Radio welcomed to the studio Dr. Michael Sytsma and Monique Wells with Building Intimate Marriages, and Steve Walker with Civis Capital. Host Steven Julian spoke to these small business leaders about their services.

Sytsma and Wells provide counseling, psycho-education, and resources focusing on relationship, premarital, marriage, and sex therapy. What differentiates them from other marriage counselors is their training and specialization in sex therapy. This generation is much more open to seeking out their help and professionalism on this topic as opposed to previous generations.

"The fact that they've not had someone to talk to continues to be a wounding part in their marriage," said Wells about the importance of seeking out professional help. "So having the ability and the language and the knowledge to help create safety in that part of their relationship after there has been some hurt and pain is extremely helpful."

They say the best thing for couples to do is to remain on track with their partner. "We don't plan to fail but we do fail to plan sometimes," said Wells. "We should all be very intentional and work every day to maintain the special connection we have with our spouses. We have to plan and make time with our significant other and just that simple communication is a huge help."

Steve Walker is with Civis Capital, a bank that prides itself on taking its hometown, community bank attitude and approach beyond the Tennessee borders and throughout the southeast. They move around depending on where their customer relationships are and they love working with and around other people's lives. Clients who are franchise restaurant owners, convenience store owners, hotel owners, and anyone who runs their own business are the best fit for Civis Capital.
