Barbara Bolotte Competes in FLEX Magazine's Bikini Model Search

NEW ORLEANS, LA--(Marketwire - Aug 18, 2011) - Bikini contests have certainly evolved from the days of Miss Hawaiian Tropic and Spring Break tanning competitions. The National Physique Committee (NPC) and the International Federation of Body Building (IFBB) have recently added a "bikini" division to the famous Olympia Expo at the Las Vegas Convention for female fitness athletes. The immediate popularity of this new division has been astonishing within the NPC and IFBB. This will be the second year this division of the competition will take place. All the action starts in Las Vegas this September 15-18 where Bikini contestants will be judged on shape, tone, symmetry, poise and overall beauty.

Barbara Bolotte, a 23-year-old New Orleans native, is currently the only IFBB bikini pro in Louisiana. She has competed in both fitness and spokesmodel competitions. She was Ms. Planet Beach New Orleans in 2009. In 2010 she took the title of overall bikini winner for the New Orleans division at the NPC Greater Gulf competition. She also took first at the NPC Louisiana state show in Lafayette and currently holds the title of Ms. Louisiana State bikini champion.

Barbara will be representing and is currently the assistant manager and trainer of GymMatrix in New Orleans, an innovative neighborhood group training gym franchise that delivers personal training services to its members in an intimate group setting that charges a reasonable monthly membership fee as opposed to expensive hourly rates. The GymMatrix concept is simple, maximum body transformation can best be achieved through group personal training.

Barbara is certified through American Sports and Fitness Association and will be one of the 27 international IFBB Pro Bikini athletes vying for this coveted new championship title. She is truly determined to win the new title stating, "I am driven by wanting to be the absolute best at what I do. Many times throughout a hard workout I remind myself, 'no one will be stronger, no one will work harder.' At this time, I am completely motivated by the win. I live, breathe, eat and sleep Olympia right now and I plan on winning. If it is to be, it is up to me!" With such strong determination and physical prowess, GymMatrix believes Barbara will get the title!
