H&M Canada Launches Largest Recruitment Campaign Ever Called "Place of Possible"

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - September 02, 2015) - H & M, Hennes & Mauritz Inc. (H&M), one of the world's largest fashion retailers famous for offering fashion-forward apparel at affordable prices in a sustainable way, announced today that it is launching a national recruiting campaign, called "Place of Possible," aimed at attracting talent interested in entering the fashion industry to support the company's continued expansion across Canada and the rest of the world. The campaign will include national advertising across online, outdoor billboards, and in-store displays -- all geared at spreading awareness of the company's competitive compensation, benefits and advancement opportunities that make H&M a viable and attractive launching pad for careers in fashion and business.

"Our belief in people is one of our strongest values," said Toni Galli, Country Manager of H&M Canada. "H&M loves bringing fashion to the world and we want to find colleagues who want to be a part of a great company on an amazing journey."

The advertising campaign spotlights 23 H&M employees from Canada and the United States, whose career trajectories at the company reflect the spirt of "Place of Possible." The campaign uses personal testimonies, which include advancing from entry-level positions to establishing long lasting careers through the company's internal promotion process which seeks to nurture talent, the employees' individual interests and style. Inspired by their employees, "Place of Possible" is the result of interviews with H&M staff and is a true testament to the brand, completely unscripted, in their voice.

The recruitment campaign aims to attract ambitious individuals from diverse backgrounds interested in entering the fashion industry, and who want to become a part of the H&M family as the company continues its growth and development in Canada. Last year H&M Canada promoted 223 people internally continuing a long history of professional development. The company aims to increase its store count every year by 10-15% which means a constant flow of opportunities. H&M believes working in retail is not just a job but career: 57% of employees in the Canadian corporate offices began their careers as store Sales Advisors. At H&M being you is genuinely supported: they are deeply committed to diversity, believing that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of position or title, and encourages employees to "dress their personality". As one of Canada's 50 Best Workplaces, H&M strives to offer employees a highly-competitive compensation package, a fun, fast-paced work environment and opportunity for advancement.

Job creation is an integral part of H&M, and the company prides itself on its support of local economies by adding jobs with each new location. So far this year they have created 221 new jobs. As a continuously expanding brand, H&M constantly searches for new talent to grow with the company. The brand continues to grow in both new and existing markets while remaining focused on quality, high profitability, and sustainability.
