H2scan Corporation Announces Hydrogen Monitor Products Receive ATEX Intrinsically Safe Certification

VALENCIA, CA--(Marketwire - December 7, 2007) - H2scan Corporation today announced that two of the company's new products, the HY-ALERTA 1600 Hydrogen Area Monitor and the HY-OPTIMA 1700 Hydrogen Process Monitor, have received the ATEX intrinsically safe certification. Both products are designed for use in hazardous locations up to and including zone 0 applications and have built-in displays and keypads available for user configuration, calibration and readings. The ATEX certification is for equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and means the equipment is safe because of the limited risk of electrical energy from the device causing any sparks, arcs or high temperatures that may ignite an explosive atmosphere.

The company's new HY-ALERTA and the HY-OPTIMA products have additional features like LCD displays that indicate real time measurement, and added pressure capability up to a minimum of 200PSIG compared to their predecessors, models 600 and 700. While models 600 and 700 remain available, the new, upgraded models are available for immediate sale with initial delivery within 4-6 weeks ARO. Inquiries can be sent to sales@h2scan.com.

Dennis Reid, President and CEO of H2scan stated, "Being able to offer an IS version on our standard production configuration is a major milestone for H2scan. The industry has been asking for a smaller, lighter, and easy to install product and until now such a product has not been available. We improved our standard models to offer a true IS version that can take real time, in-line hydrogen measurements in harsh process environments containing CO, H2S, and corrosive environments including Chlorine. The new products are truly one of a kind. We are already working with major OEMs in the refinery and H2 Production industries to use our new model 1700."
