H2scan Corporation to Exhibit the HY-ALERTA™ 2600 Explosion Proof Area Hydrogen Monitor at the 4th Annual High Temperature Reactor Technology Conference in Washington, D.C.

VALENCIA, CA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2008) - H2scan Corporation today announced the Company will exhibit at the 4th Annual High Temperature Reactor Technology (HTR) Conference in Washington, D.C., September 28 - October 1, 2008. Situated in booth #105, the Company will share their exhibit space with Meggitt Safety Systems, Inc. (MSSI) to further develop their strategic alliance and to highlight H2scan's HY-ALERTA™ 2600 Explosion Proof Area Hydrogen Monitor.

The annual HTR conference is dedicated to insights and applications that are shaping the future of nuclear power generation, furthering technologies to create safe, clean and economical sources of energy. The conference will include a dynamic technical program that will focus on essential issues ranging from nuclear engineering analysis, waste management, safety and licensing and production of hydrogen. It will also feature the unique perspectives of keynote speakers from pioneering companies in the HTR technology industry.

H2scan's Vice President of Sales and Business Development Cyril Berg stated, "The HTR show is an excellent opportunity for us to further expand our business into the nuclear power industry and at the same time showcase our HY-ALERTA™ Explosion Proof Area Hydrogen Monitor."

Mr. Berg went on to say, "H2scan and Meggitt Safety Systems have been working together for more than three years bringing together MSSI's expertise in systematic technologies for the nuclear power industry and H2scan's HY-ALERTA™ Explosion Proof Area Monitor."

H2scan's HY-ALERTA™ 2600 Explosion Proof Area Hydrogen Monitor provides hydrogen specific leak detection and measurement for extreme environments and can be scaled to any concentration up to 5% hydrogen by volume. H2scan's hydrogen specific sensor technology has no cross sensitivity to other combustible gases, thus eliminating false positive alarms and ensuring safety system reliability.

"The HTR show and conference provide a platform of technical communication and an important channel for Meggitt Safety Systems to learn about the opportunities for our nuclear grade cables and gas analytical systems for HTR advanced technology and equipment," stated Alex Luterstein, Meggitt Safety Systems Product Manager, Nuclear and Industrial Products.

About H2scan (www.h2scan.com)

H2scan is the leading provider of high performance hydrogen specific sensor systems that provide accurate monitoring and control functions for a wide range of applications, including control systems, safety monitoring and alarm systems. H2scan also provides portable, handheld configurations for easy leak detection and monitoring.

H2scan's hydrogen specific sensing systems based on a patented "Chip on a flex" technology are able to detect and measure hydrogen without false readings or expensive support equipment required. The sensing systems are able to detect hydrogen in air down to 15 ppm concentration over a wide range of temperatures without cross-sensitivities to other gases. The ability to operate with or without the presence of oxygen with no interference from CO, sulfur or chlorine separates H2scan from all other in-line measuring technologies.

The company's solid-state technology was developed at Sandia National Laboratory and the U.S. Department of Energy and is only available commercially through H2scan.

H2scan Corporation is headquartered in Valencia, California, and was formed in 2002 with capital assistance from the Ravinia Venture Fund and Vancouver-based Chrysalix Energy Limited Partnership, that includes Ballard Power Systems Inc., Shell Hydrogen, The BOC Group, BASF Venture Capital and Mitsubishi Corporation.
