H2scan and Honeywell's UOP Sign Agreement to Joint Market Low-Cost, High-Accuracy Hydrogen Analyzing Systems

Seven Years of UOP Field Testing Validates New 1700AS-U and 2700AS-U System's Ability to Withstand Contaminants While Maintaining Analyzer Accuracy

VALENCIA, CA--(Marketwire - December 16, 2010) - H2scan Corporation, provider of the most accurate, tolerant and affordable hydrogen leak detection and process gas monitoring solutions for industrial markets, today announced that their core sensor technology will be combined with UOP's process system knowledge to jointly market advanced analyzers for applications within refineries and petrochemical plants. The new 1700AS-U and 2700AS-U process systems represent over seven years of collaboration, field testing and validation by UOP to increase the accuracy of their solutions to better compete with Gas Chromatograph (GC) and Mass Spectrometer (MS) technology, and better serve their customers.

H2scan will manufacture the new systems incorporating UOP technology in its new Valencia, California facility. Both companies will market the solution providing greater reach and access to a larger customer base which will finally benefit from having solid state analyzers that withstand contaminants, maintain a high degree of accuracy and have longer times between calibration intervals -- all at a fraction of the cost of process GC and MS technologies.
