Hackney Publications Launches Sports Facilities and the Law for Facility Managers

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - Jul 11, 2011) - Hackney Publications has teamed up with Landmark Event Staffing Services Inc. to provide a complimentary legal publication called Sports Facilities and the Law to sports facility managers.

Managers can sign up to receive the periodical, which is delivered electronically as a pdf by emailing Hackney Publications at and placing "subscribe sfl" in the subject line. To see the first issue of the publication, visit

Landmark was founded in 2006 by industry veterans Pete Kranske and Mike Harrison. With over 50 years of combined service and experience, Kranske and Harrison deliver the kind of experience that is invaluable to the facility manager.

Their desire to help the community by disseminating expert analysis about the legal side of the business and educate the community about the legal side of managing a sports facility is what led to the company's sponsorship of SFL.

"Knowledge can be very powerful in our industry, especially when it comes to the law, where the courts are constantly reshaping the landscape," said Kranske. "Sponsoring SFL is one way we can give back to the community, whether they are a customer of ours or not."

Carla Varriale, the legal editor of the publication and a partner at Havkins Rosenfeld Ritzert & Varriale, suggested that Landmark should be at the top of the list of any facility considering the assistance of an event staffing firm with expertise in crowd management and guest services.

"Landmark understands the keys to success in this business are hard work, cooperation, flexibility, responsiveness and accountability to their clients," said Varriale.
