Dr. Rene Jean-Jumeau to Speak on Energy Transition Challenges in Haiti

BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - May 2, 2012) - Haiti's secretary of state for energy and ministry of public works, transportation, energy and communications, Dr. Rene Jean-Jumeau, will be the featured speaker on May 15th at DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability's fifth annual Utility of the Future Leadership Forum, "Pathway to excellence." Jean-Jumeau will offer a special lunchtime address at the conference, which will be held May 14-16, 2012, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC.

Jean-Jumeau will draw from firsthand experiences in Haiti to highlight the complex energy challenges that face developing nations. "More than ever before, developing countries need to understand the importance of energy for their growth and the advances in technology that are giving them better, less expensive options for the well-being of their people," said Jean-Jumeau.

The 2012 Utility of the Future Leadership Forum features one and one-half days of discussions about the dynamic changes facing the utility industry and the paths that innovators have taken toward a sustainable energy future. Two CEO panels will explore the challenges of building the future utility in very different economic environments, while other panels will feature topics such as sustainable power supply, customers at the helm, innovation and the future, and engaging customers in sustainability. Throughout the forum, there will be high-level networking opportunities to share perspectives, collaborate, and engage in dialog.

Senior executives are invited to join their peers in the Utility of the Future discussion to share ideas and discover opportunities that can help shape a more sustainable, reliable, and profitable utility of the future. Register and learn more about the Utility of the Future Leadership Forum 2012.
