Hall of Fame Musicians Rock the House in Support of Footwear Charities

Actor Jim Belushi Entertains the Crowd for Opening Night at WSA in Las Vegas

NASHVILLE, TN and LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 7, 2007 -- On Thursday, February 1, six Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musical acts came together to play for a lively crowd in Las Vegas. Booker T & the MGs, Mary Wilson, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard blew the doors off the MGM Grand Arena to raise awareness for Soles4Souls™ and The Two Ten Foundation, two not-for-profit organizations supported by the footwear industry.

Popular television and movie actor Jim Belushi danced on stage, played his harmonica, and even performed a backwards somersault in an effort to entertain the crowd between musical sets. Yet the comedian had to continually dodge shoes that were thrown at him -- all in the name of charity, of course.

"Come on, hit me!" Belushi shouted at the crowd, while the shoes rained down onto the stage. "These shoes are going to a good cause, so don't be shy!"

The ongoing benefit concerts at The WSA Show™ aim to raise awareness of the charities' programs: Soles4Souls collects and distributes thousands of pairs of shoes around the world; The Two Ten Foundation provides scholarships and other programs for footwear professionals and their families. During the semiannual WSA Show, more than 36,000 footwear professionals gather to plan for the upcoming selling season.

Wayne Elsey, Founder of Soles4Souls and President of Kodiak-Terra USA, Inc., said that the concert was a big success. "We are really excited by the response to this event," Elsey said. "Jim Belushi was the perfect host and the musical acts were incredible. It was a lot of fun to see these footwear professionals dancing in the aisles and raising awareness for charity," he said.

Diane Stone, COO of WSA Global Holdings, LLC, said that the awareness concert presents the charities a valuable opportunity to reach members of the footwear industry. "The WSA Show™ brings the global footwear and accessories industry together during its most important events in the world," Stone said. "This offers these two charities, the industry's own, the chance to gain the support of the companies and people who drive this business globally on a scale nothing else could provide."

The next concert benefiting Soles4Souls™ Inc. and The Two Ten Foundation will be in late August. For more information on the WSA Show and its benefit concerts, visit
