SUGAR LAND, TX--(Marketwire - October 19, 2010) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Buoyed by record quarterly revenues for its North American segment, energy services provider Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) (Houston, Texas) reported strong results for the third quarter of 2010, despite mostly flat results from the company's international segments. Net income for the quarter was reported to be $544 million, compared with $262 million for the same period last year. In order to support domestic oil and gas exploration and production, Halliburton is constructing a $12 million oil- and gas-field drilling services plant in Muncy, Pennsylvania.
