Halo Announces CDN$400,000 Financing

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 29, 2010) - Halo Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:HLO)(FRANKFURT:HRLN) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that, further to a price reservation form filed with the TSX Venture Exchange ("TSX.V") on September 14, 2010, a non-brokered private placement ("Private Placement") has been arranged by the Company to raise up to $400,000 through the sale of up to 1,600,000 units ("Units") at a price of $0.25 per Unit. Each Unit comprises one common share of the Company and one common share purchase warrant (a "Warrant"). Each Warrant is exercisable to acquire one additional common share of the Company for two years at a price of $0.35 per share. Proceeds from the Private Placement will be used for exploration of the Company's properties. A finders fee is payable on a portion of this placement.

The Private Placement is subject to the approval of the TSXV.
