Halogen Releases Debut Electronica Album "Baked"

LONDON--(Marketwire - September 29, 2009) - Halogen is the brainchild of 21-year-old producer Adam Janota-Bzowski. With a hugely successful 2008 which saw his stock rise significantly after stellar live performances at The Glade Festival, Big Chill, and London's Scala, Halogen offers this debut for the growing Maternity imprint.

"Baked" follows his first download-only EP "Recycled Broadcasts," with over 2500 units since its release in late 2008. Mixing warm, organic melodies with intricate glitched-out electronics, found sounds and samples, Halogen has created a delicate and mature masterpiece which belies his tender years.

With a growing international fan base, notably in the UK and in the US, Halogen has garnered the respect of fellow producers and musicians that include Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy (System 7/Gong), Rena Jones (Native State/Interchill), Chris Coco (BBC Radio2), and Bob Humid (Serve & Destroy -- Berlin).

Adam started his musical exploration as a guitarist/vocalist in several bands in the London's underground post-rock scene before moving to Brighton in 2006 to study Digital Music & Sound Art. There, his previous affinity with live instruments and effects was juxtaposed onto a new passion for programming and electronics, and created the basis for his sound as Halogen.

2009 looks set to be a busy year for Halogen; along with this album, he has begun a number of new projects and is set to release an EP for the internet label where he has already featured on a number of compilations.
