Hampton Addressed the Issues-McGuinty Ducked

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 21, 2007) - While Dalton McGuinty complains that his record as Premier was the subject of debate, Howard Hampton is earning praise for getting his message out and putting forward positive NDP solutions:

"Mr. Hampton, who was fighting a cold, was the winner of the debate in that he was able to articulate a good deal of his party's platform."

-- Globe and Mail, September 21, 2007

"Hampton took the most advantage of his opportunities to lay out the six commitments of the NDP platform, while taking jabs at McGuinty for doing little with his four years in power."

-- Niagara Falls Review, September 21, 2007

"Who did the best job of getting out his message? Far and away Hampton."

-- Toronto Sun, September 21, 2007

"Hampton stood out as a committed defender of working and poor Ontarians, as well as the province's environment."

-- The Record (Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo), September 21, 2007

"Hampton consistently attacked McGuinty's past policies and future promises as insufficient and effectively put forward his own promises."

-- The Toronto Star, September 21, 2007

And McGuinty?

"The best that can be said for McGuinty after last night's performance is that, with the election still almost three weeks away, he has time to recover."

-- The Toronto Star, September 21, 2007
