Hana Mining Appoints Country Advisor in Botswana

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 8, 2008) - Hana Mining Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:HMG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kgosiemang Keith Molosiwa to the position of country advisor in Botswana.

A successful businessman who has founded, directed and managed a number of major Botswana companies in the mining, manufacturing and agricultural sectors, Mr. Molosiwa has extensive knowledge of government permitting and regulatory issues in the region. He is an Executive Council Member and chairperson of the manufacturing sector for Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) and he was a board member of Botswana National Licensing before it was decentralized in April 2008.

As part of his compensation package, Mr. Molosiwa has been granted 100,000 stock options, each such option entitling the holder thereof to acquire 1 share of the Company at an exercise price of $0.52 cents. The options will vest over 2 years and expire on June 27, 2013.
