Hanfeng Announces New Board Appointment

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 27, 2009) - Hanfeng Evergreen Inc. ("Hanfeng") (TSX:HF) is pleased to announce that Paul Davis has been appointed to the board of directors of Hanfeng effective immediately. Mr. Davis replaces Brian Hayward, who is stepping down from the board for personal reasons. Mr. Davis will assume Mr. Hayward's position as a member of Hanfeng's audit committee.

Mr. Davis has extensive experience in operations, mergers and acquisitions, and financial matters as a corporate officer, lawyer and investment banker. Mr. Davis has served as a director of several public companies, including being the Chair of the Audit Committee of another TSX listed company. Mr. Davis has held senior executive positions in public and private companies, including being Director, Investment Banking of Octagon Capital Canada Corporation, a Toronto based broker, from June 1995 to May 1997, and Senior Vice President, Administration and Human Resources, General Counsel and Secretary of Slater Steel Inc. from 1999 to 2004. Since October 2008, Mr. Davis has been the President and Chief Operating Officer of GPEC Global Corp., an international waste-to-energy company. Mr. Davis studied Economics at Carleton University and obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Toronto Law School in 1986.
