WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - September 24, 2007) - Hanley Wood University, the recently launched continuing education program for architects, has implemented an interactive testing program for architects pursuing AIA-credit. Hanley Wood University offers architects the flexibility of completing courses in the magazines, through online learning, Webinars or via in-person "lunch and learns."

Testing features include:

-- Instant Certification
-- Interactive Courses and Tests
-- Audio and Video Options
-- Pausing and Saving Capabilities
-- Real-Time Feedback and Test-Grading

"Hanley Wood University represents the future of continuing education," says Russ Ellis, Publisher of ARCHITECT. "This dynamic educational format fosters improved comprehension and retention of course topics -- a feature that is prompting both architects and manufacturers to gravitate towards Hanley Wood University."

Adopting this unique educational model had significant tangible results. In the first eight months, more than 2,000 architects have enrolled in more than 4,500 AIA-approved classes through Hanley Wood University.

"Our program allows architects to start and stop tests from their desktop on demand, track their performance and activity level and offers direct reporting of test results to the AIA," states Jennifer Pearce, Associate Publisher of Development at Hanley Wood. "Our goal is to be the benchmark in continuing education by producing courses that are exciting, interesting and informative, while including high production values."

Courses are easily accessible though ARCHITECT, residential architect and ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING magazines; via dedicated continuing education sections on and; through weekly e-newsletters Architect Business Update, residential architect Business Update and Architectural Lighting Business Update; and on a centralized continuing education portal
