David Pell, Artistic Director of the Hannaford Street Silver Band, today announced that Canada's celebrated brass band will continue its 2015-2016 season with German Brass. This concert will feature Berlin Philharmonic horn virtuoso Fergus McWilliam performing Horn Concerto No.1 by Richard Strauss. Guest conductor James Gouraly will lead this buoyant program that features works by Franz von Suppe, J. S. Bach and Richard Wagner as well as the world premiere of a new work by Canadian composer Kelly-Marie Murphy, commissioned by the HSSB with the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

The Hannaford Street Silver Band is Canada's award winning, professional brass band and Resident Company of Toronto's St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. Since 1983, The Hannaford Street Silver Band, formed by professional musicians who love the brass band repertoire and ensemble playing, has been striking up the brass band tradition and stirring up critical and popular acclaim.
