The Hanover Insurance Group Deploys Exterro Fusion(R) to Advance and Unify End-to-End E-Discovery Systems

The Worldwide Insurance Holding Company Has Implemented Exterro's E-Discovery Software Suite, Including Fusion Zeta(TM), as Part of a Strategic Initiative to Advance Its Legal and IT Infrastructure

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - Oct 10, 2012) - Exterro Inc., the leading provider of unified e-discovery software, today announced that The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. has deployed the Exterro Fusion® platform as part of a strategic initiative to advance and unify its e-discovery systems. The worldwide insurance holding company chose the Exterro Fusion e-discovery software suite, including Fusion Zeta™, to help manage its e-discovery processes for its U.S.-based business after completing a comprehensive competitive analysis and proof of concept.

"After conducting a thorough assessment, we determined that it is in the best interest of our company to invest in an advanced architecture to help streamline and improve the management of our e-discovery and information governance processes," said Linda Luperchio, director of information lifecycle governance at The Hanover. "Out of more than 20 vendors, we chose Exterro because we believed the company offered the most complete, end-to-end system with built-in workflows, integration capabilities, advanced analytics and intuitive management dashboards in a single platform. Another determining factor was the leadership team's ability to listen to our needs and rapidly incorporate them into the product design."

The Hanover has deployed the Exterro Fusion suite to help streamline its e-discovery processes, which is expected to encompass legal holds; in-place early case assessment (ECA) and collections of evidence from multiple data sources, such as Microsoft Exchange, laptops, desktops, enterprise content management systems and proprietary databases; processing, review and production. As part of the plan to access existing custodian data sources and leverage its IT infrastructure, Exterro Fusion has also been integrated with The Hanover's legal, HR, ServiceNow IT asset management and single sign-on (SSO) systems through the Fusion Integration Hub™.

According to recent Gartner reports, IT, legal and compliance experts agree that enterprise data, growing at a rate of 40 to 60 percent annually, must be better managed and minimized. Global enterprises must manage their legal and regulatory discovery demands by minimizing data retention periods and increasing visibility into the entire process. Furthermore, the e-discovery software market is in a phase of high growth and increasing maturity.

"We are extremely pleased to be working with The Hanover to advance its deployment of Exterro Fusion platform," said Bobby Balachandran, president and CEO of Exterro. "As data within global enterprises continues to explode, the value of a purpose-built, advanced platform, like Fusion, which delivers the scalability, visibility and flexibility required for managing complex e-discovery evidence and workflows, has never been greater. We look forward to helping The Hanover team leverage the power of its Fusion implementation."
