HANZO Acquires Active Brasil and Continues to Expand

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL--(Marketwire - June 19, 2009) - HANZO (www.HANZO.com.br), a company based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil that specializes in mobile marketing, has acquired Active Brasil, the leading mobile aggregator for TVs, radios and newspapers in northeastern Brazil with a market share of 60% in the region. With this transaction, HANZO continues its national expansion which began in November 2008 with the opening of its sales office in Sao Paulo.

HANZO plans to merge the operations of the two companies so that their potential can be maximized and the highest level of service be provided to all their customers. For HANZO, which has doubled its monthly revenues in the last three months, this acquisition will accelerate growth even further, generating an expected increase of 30% in revenues for the year 2009.

Omar Queiroz, former CEO of Active Brasil, will continue on as the head of HANZO Fortaleza. In six years of operation, Active has built a portfolio of nearly 70 customers and a team made up of PhDs and specialists in mobile marketing.
