Happening Marketing 2013: University of Sherbrooke Marketing Students Unveil Their Team

SHERBROOKE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 30, 2013) - Saturday, January 26th was held the launch party in preparation for the Happening Marketing 2013, which will be held March 22, at the HEC in Montreal. It was a great opportunity for the 36 marketing students from the Faculty of Administration at the University of Sherbrooke, who will be competing in the event, to come together to launch the event. This year Kezber is the major sponsor of the Sherbrooke delegation.

The Happening Marketing is the largest interuniversity marketing competition in Eastern Canada. With 13 recognized universities attending, this event brings together more than 500 students passionate about marketing. The competition combines academic, sporting and social events. In the academic component, students must submit case studies in the following categories: marketing strategy, integrated marketing communications, relationship marketing, B2B and a quiz on current marketing affairs. Three members of the Sherbrooke team won the marketing case in the 25th edition of the Jeux du Commerce at the HEC in Montreal, held earlier in January. The Sherbrooke delegation is therefore very optimistic to come home with additional honors.

Fun fact: The sporting component of the competition consists of a made-up sport that is announced only two months before the competition. Given that participants for the event are selected even before the sport is announced, they must be prepared to adapt to any given discipline. The sport for the 2013 competition was announced at Saturday night's party. Athletes will play basketball on inflatable tube in a swimming pool ... To be continued
