Happening Now: Local Kayaker Rids Humber River of Rubbish

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 11, 2013) - 1-800 RID-OF-IT, one of Canada's leading national rubbish removal companies, is getting ready to deploy kayaks, fill trucks and haul away tonnes of trash for their third Humber River Clean Up event today, Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

The Humber River Clean Up was created by 1-800 RID-OF-IT President Rick Crawford, a Bloor West resident and keen kayaker. This fire fighter decided to take action while being forced to dodge discarded debris while paddling in the area.

Toronto's Complete Paddler has signed on to assist with water-based recovery of trash items.
